Open for more than thirty years and the only remaining dive bar on the Drag across from the University of Texas, the Hole in the Wall features local music from country to punk to jazz. Most weekday shows are no cover with a $5 cover on Fridays and Saturdays.

Live at the Lake is a summer concert series sponsored by KGSR at Lakeway Resort and Spa located 18 miles northwest of downtown Austin. Bands perform by a 3-tiered pool with a swim-up bar overlooking Lake Travis on Sunday afternoons. Gates open at 4 PM with shows running from 6 PM to 8 PM. Food and beverages are available for purchase. On-site at the resort is $15 for valet parking and $10 for self parking at $10. Free parking lots are located at Live Oak Golf Course and Lakeway City Hall with shuttles to and from the concert provided by the resort. Admission for the 2009 summer series is $5 per person and this year's scheduled performers include Mother Truckers, Nelo, Bob Schneider and The Gourds.
